Jennifer M. Jensen, CPA & Partner
As one of the founding partners of Jensen Smith, CPAs, Jennifer
brings a depth of experience working with many different types of clients. She completed
her Master of Science in Taxation in 2011with a focus on estate and trust
issues and continues to keep up to date on the ever changing tax laws. She is
an active member in the South Placer Estate Planning Council and maintains her
membership with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA),
the Government Audit Quality Center and the California Society of CPAs.
Jennifer
is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Lincoln and currently serves
as the Treasurer of the Club and its Foundation, the Lincoln Kiwanis
Foundation. She is also a past President of the Club and Foundation.
She is a charter
member of the Soroptimist International of Lincoln. She also serves on
the
advisory board of some of the local non-profit organizations. She has
extensive
experience in auditing non-profit organizations and special districts
and has
taught continuing professional education to other CPAs on auditing
non-profit
organizations, new auditing standards and government auditing and
accounting
standards. Jennifer also teaches with the Nonprofit Resource Center in
Sacramento, teaching non-profit executive directors how to read
financial
statements and other important issues facing non-profit organizations.
She also co-authored and taught "Essential Elements for Non-profit
Accounting" for the Independent Living Centers through the California
Department of Rehabilitation.
Jennifer lives in Lincoln with her husband Frank and her two children Alyssa and Antonio.
